"Stitched it" emerged from a lifelong passion for pattern, fabrics & crafting.
It was after graduating in the mid '90s from Bretton Hall (UK) with a BA Hons in Textile Surface Pattern Design, that I began my journey in the retail industry.
My career started as a freelance designer, creating hand-drawn & painted repeat patterns for fashion fabrics. Over the following years, I moved into retail sales, then purchasing & finally manufacturing. My heart, however, was always in the creative design process.
Fifteen years, one husband, two kids, three dogs & five countries later, I made the choice to go back to what I love doing. I now create handmade cushion covers & tote bags using printed fabrics inspired by the iconic culture, nature & landmarks of Hong Kong.
I design & produce all the items myself. I buy small quantities of printed fabrics from a local supplier, which means just a few pieces are made in each print. Nothing is mass-produced. The fabrics are durable but also lightweight & compact making them perfect to pack in a suitcase or send to friends & family as Christmas, Thank You or leaving gifts.
Welcome to Stitched it!
